Secamilli began his violin studies at the age of 7 at the Escola de Música de Piracicaba Maestro Ernst Mahle. At 15, he started taking lessons with Professor Ayrton Pinto. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Violin from the University of São Paulo (USP), where he studied under Professor Evgenia Popova, with whom he also studied in Bulgaria for a year. In 2007, he participated in a specialization course in Boston, USA, with Professor Marylou Speaker Churchill. He earned his Master’s degree in Violin Performance from the University of Massachusetts (UMass, USA), under the guidance of Professor Elizabeth Chang (UMass/Juilliard).
In 2011, he was awarded the “Julian Olevski” prize, given to the top graduate student in strings at the University of Massachusetts.
Secamilli has performed in musicals such as “My Fair Lady,” “West Side Story,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Cabaret,” “Evita,” and “The Sound of Music” (in 2010 and 2018), as well as in the concert “Andrea Bocelli in São Paulo.” He has played with the symphony orchestras of Piracicaba, Limeira, and Rio Claro, the USP Music Department Orchestra (OCAM), Opus One, and the University of Massachusetts Orchestra.
With over 14 years of experience as a violin instructor, Secamilli is also a certified Suzuki Method teacher, having completed his training with Professor Allen Lieb at UMass in 2010.
In 2017, he was featured in the University of Massachusetts Yearbook as a distinguished alumnus for his career as a concert artist, a member of the Jequitibá Quartet, and a violin teacher in Brazil.
In May 2018 and 2019, he organized and hosted Professor Elizabeth Chang (Juilliard/UMass) in São Paulo for various student activities, including concerts and lectures. Always striving for excellence in violin education, in May 2021, he completed additional Suzuki Method training with Professor Allen Lieb (CEO of the International Suzuki Association) in New York.
